LeBron Carries Heat Past Cavaliers

(Cleveland, OH) -- LeBron James didn't treat his former team too nicely, going off for 43 points, six rebounds and four assists as the Heat clipped the Cavaliers, 100-96, at Quicken Loans Arena. James scored 25 points in the first quarter for Miami, which has won two in-a-row. Chris Bosh added 21 points and six boards in the victory. Cleveland was without guard Kyrie Irving, who is out with a biceps injury. Dion Waiters had his first career double-double with 17 points and 11 assists, while Jarrett Jack paced the Cavs with 22 points in the loss. Cleveland has dropped two straight.


Blazers Edge Bucks In OT

(Portland, OR) -- Wesley Matthews led a balanced attack with 26 points as the Trail Blazers edged the Bucks 120-115 in overtime at the Moda Center. Nicolas Batum just missed a triple-double with 21 points, nine rebounds and nine assists. Mo Williams dropped in 23 points off the bench, while Damian Lillard added 20 for the Blazers, who have won two-of-three on the heels of a four-game skid. Robin Lopez donated 15 points and 14 boards in the victory. Brandon Knight netted 24 points and Ramon Sessions scored 23 for Milwaukee, which has lost five straight and eight-of-nine overall. Zaza Pachulia posted 17 points and 13 boards in defeat.


Kings Defeat Wizards In OT

(Sacramento, CA) -- Rudy Gay, DeMarcus Cousins and Isaiah Thomas each scored 24 points to help the Kings defeat the Wizards, 117-111, in overtime at Sleep Train Arena. Sacramento outscored Washington 17-to-11 in the extra session. Along with the 24 points, Thomas put together a triple-double tallying 11 rebounds and 10 assists. The Kings had lost five of their previous six games. Marcin Gortat posted 19 points and 14 rebounds in the loss. Bradley Beal also scored 19, while Drew Gooden chipped in 18 off the bench.  Washington had a two-game winning streak snapped.


Warriors Crush Magic

(Oakland, CA) -- Stephen Curry hit 9-of-13 shots on his way to 23 points to help the Warriors sink the Magic, 103-89, at ORACLE Arena. David Lee and Klay Thompson each added 20 points for Golden State, which is 7-2 in its last nine games. The Warriors are a game-and-a-half behind the Blazers for the fifth seed in the West. Nikola Vucevic posted 15 points and Tobias Harris contributed 14 off the bench in the loss. Orlando is 4-31 on the road and has lost six straight.
