Eight Cubs, Two Sox File For Arbitration
Eight Cubs and two White Sox filed for arbitration Tuesday. Darwin Barney, Justin Ruggiano, Nate Schierholtz, Luis Valbuena, James Russell, Jeff Samardzija, Pedro Strop and Travis Wood all filed for the Cubs. Gordon Beckham and Alejandro de Aza filed for the Sox.
Cardinals' Trio Files For Arbitration
(St. Louis, MO) -- Three Cardinals have filed for salary arbitration. Outfielders Jon Jay and Peter Bourjos and infielder Daniel Descalso filed their paperwork with Major League Baseball on Tuesday. All three are seeking raises from the roughly $500,000 salaries they each made last season.
