Altamont Draws Top Seed in NTC Baseball Tournament

Altamont High School drew the top seed in the National Trail Conference Baseball Tournament that will begin Monday.

The Indians had a 6-1 record after conference play along with South Central, who drew the second seed. Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg (5-2) was seeded third, St. Anthony (3-4) took the fourth seed, Neoga (3-4) was fifth, Dieterich (3-4) was sixth, Brownstown/St. Elmo (2-5) was seventh and Beecher City/Cowden-Herrick (0-7) was eighth.

The tournament begins Monday with four games, all played at the higher seeds. The tourney continues with semifinals Wednesday at the higher seeds. Friday's game will be the consolation championship at the higher seed while Saturday's games will feature the third place contest at noon and the championship at 3 p.m., both games at Altamont.
