Bulldogs Claim Baseball Win, Area Roundup

St. Anthony and Ramsey went scoreless in high school baseball for the first two innings before the Bulldogs broke loose with three runs in the third, seven in the fourth and ended the game with a run in the fifth to win by the 10-run rule 11-1 Monday.

The Bulldogs had seven hits led by Eli Dasenbrock with a single, double and an RBI and Scott Rentfrow with two singles and an RBI.

At Ramsey

At Kinmundy

Teutopolis came calling at South Central and handed the Cougars an 11-2 loss. The Wooden Shoes had 13 hits in the contest while Hardiek and Will combined for a three-hitter with three walks and six strikeouts.

Bobby Wenthe banged out three home runs and had seven RBI for the winners. Wenthe's first at bat was a solo home run, he then hit a two-run shot and his last at bat was a three-run blow. Goldstein had a single, double and an RBI and Probst two singles.

South Central was led by Ross with two singles and an RBI.

At Kinmundy

At Noble

Noble/Clay City took a 1-0 lead in the second inning but Brownstown/St. Elmo tied. Noble/Clay City led 3-1 after five and 6-5 after six. Brownstown/St. Elmo came back again, scoring three runs in the seventh to pull out an 8-6 victory.

Levi Maxey had a home run and two RBI for the winners. BSE evens its record to 5-5.

At Strasburg

Stewardson-Strasburg/Windsor edged Dieterich 3-2 by scoring the winning run in the bottom of the seventh.

Derek Moschenrose pitched a five-hitter allowing no walks and striking out two. Moschenrose had a base hit that scored Alex Allen for the winning run. Kramer led the winners with a single and double.

Dieterich was led by Thoele with two singles and a double.
