Teutopolis Shuts Out St. Anthony; Other Friday 9/13 Scores

The Wooden Shoes scored in the first inning and added three runs in the fifth to claim the shutout victory.
The Shoes scored their four runs on six hits, including a double by John Ungrund that drove in a run. Ungrund also scored a run. Flach singled and scored, Reed Hardiek singled and walked twice and scored a run, Bobby Wenthe drove in a run, Darren Probst singled had a sacrifice fly and drove in two runs, Alex Goldstein singled, Cody Will singled, and Justin Kenter walked and scored a run.
Louis Niemerg pitched a five-hit shutout, walked one and struck out six for his second victory of the fall without a loss.
For St. Anthony, Jacob Lorenz singled, Eli Dasenbrock had two base hits, Alex Hoelscher singled and walked, and Zach Gardewine singled.
Alex Hoelscher took the loss for the Bulldogs, allowing the four runs, just two earned, on five hits while walking three and fanning six. Kyle Bourgeois pitched the final inning, allowing a hit while striking out two.
Teutopolis improved to 9-1 on the fall, while St. Anthony is now 7-3.

Windsor/Stew-Stras 10, Brownstown/St. Elmo 0
Jones threw a no-hitter for Windsor/Stew-Stras and did not walk a batter. An error was the only thing preventing a perfect game. Jones struck out four.
Jacob Behrends took the loss, allowing eight runs, six earned in four innings of work, walking two and striking out two.
At the plate for Windsor/Stew-Stras: Vonderheide doubled and singled, Cole homered, and Helmuth, Hutchison, Allen, Moschenrose, Kramer, Ohnesorge and Deremiah each singled.
Windsor/Stew-Stras is now 4-3 on the fall, while Brownstown/St. Elmo slipped to 4-5, 2-3 in the National Trail Conference.
