Maroons Beat Ramsey in Varsity Baseball, BCCH Loses

DIETERICH -- Dieterich High School had a four-run third after trailing Ramsey 1-0. The Movin' Maroons tallied single runs in the fourth and sixth and three in the fifth for a 9-1 win Monday.

The Maroons had 10 hits while Ramsey committed five errors. A. Bohnhoff and R. Shoemaker had two singles and an RBI each while C. Thoele had a double and an RBI. Thoele went six innings allowing six hits, no walks and striking out eight to pick up the win.

Patoka trailed Beecher City/Cowden-Herrick 2-1 until the fourth then took a 3-1 lead and went on for a 10-3 victory.

BCCH had seven hits in the contest led by Austin Rexroad with a single, double and an RBI. BCCH is 1-2 in the Egyptian-Illini Conference, 1-4 overall.
