Dieterich Wins Over Altamont Friday

The Dieterich Movin Maroons posted an 8-2 win in baseball action Friday against the Altamont Indians.

Dieterich led 3-0 after three innings before Altamont scored twice in the fourth to pull within one, but Dieterich responded with a run in the fifth and then put the game away with a four-run sixth inning.

Tanner Traub got the win for Dieterich, working 6-1/3 innings and allowing two runs on six hits and four walks while fanning seven.  J. Bohnhoff got the final two outs, allowing a hit.  Cole Borders took the loss for Altamont, allowing eight runs, six earned on 10 hits and five walks while striking out eight.  K. Wolff got the final two outs.

At the plate for Altamont: Cole Borders singled twice, while Goeckner, Wolff, Cornett, Miller and Winn each singled...Goeckner, Wolff, Guerretaz and Miller each walked...and Wolff and Guerretaz each scored a run.  Borders and Winn each drove in a run.
