Effingham, Altamont, T-town, Windsor/Stew-Stras Claim H.S. Baseball Victories

Seachrist singled in the third inning, scoring two runs, hit a homer to left field in the fourth, scoring two and singled in the the fifth, scoring one.
The Hearts got on the board in the top of the first after Marshall committed an error. Colton Webb singled to centerfield and then ended up stealing home.
Max Flach hit a solo shot in the top of the second.
The Hearts held a 7-1 lead after three then tallied four in the fourth as Seachrist homered, scoring two, and Peter Rosen singled, scoring a run. The Hearts added two more to end the contest via the 10-run rule in the fifth as Jude Traub hit a solo shot.
Wyatt Hayes earned the victory on the mound. He gave up one hit over five innings, striking out seven and walking seven.
Effingham pounded out 14 hits in the contest led by Seachrist with two singles, a home run and five RBI. Flach hit a single home run and had one RBI. Traub finished with the home run and two RBI, Andrew Wagoner hit a triple while Brayden Tucker had a single and double, Rosen two singles and two RBI and Webb a single and an RBI.
Marshall's lone hit was a single by Brandson Maskell.

At Pana
Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg trailed Pana 1-0 until the fourth inning then broke loose and finished with a 6-1 victory Tuesday.
The Hatchets tallied three in the fourth and never looked back, holding Pana to that one run.
Windsor/Stew-Stras finished with eight hits by eight players. Kendall Morris and Carter Verdeyen finished with a double and two RBI each. Derk Friese and Branson Tingley added a double and an RBI each.
Jackson Gurgel went the seven innings, throwing a two-hitter with four walks and six strikeouts.
Madyx Angel had both hits for Pana with a single and double.

At Greenville
Teutopolis took the early lead and claimed a 6-2 win over Greenville in Tuesday action.
Both teams had six hits but Greenville committed five errors.
T-town had doubles from Jason Kreke and Michael Niebrugge. Kreke added two RBI. Davin Worman finished with two singles.
Caleb Deters went five innings, allowing one run on six hits. He didn't give up a walk and struck out eight.
Greenville dropped to 3-1 on the season.
The Wooden Shoes improved to 4-1 and are back in action Thursday, traveling to Casey-Westfield.

The seventh inning proved to be the winning one for Altamont as the Indians downed Casey-Westfield, 5-2.
The Warriors took a 1-0 lead in the fourth and moved that to 2-0 in the sixth.
But, Altamont rallied with a five-run seventh to claim the victory.
Zaine Miller went the distance for Altamont, giving up two runs on five hits, two walks while striking out five.
Altamont had nine hits led by Brayden Elam and Dyson Wagner with two singles each. Keegan Schultz and Miller had a single and knocked in a run each. Also adding singles were Brayden Schnarre, Carson Milleville and Blake Berg.

Newton and Oblong/Hutsonville/Palestine were tied at 4-4 after the opening inning. But that was the last of the scoring for the Eagles as O/H/P went on for a 7-4 victory Tuesday.
The Wildcats finished with nine hits and was aided by six Newton errors.
Newton was led in hitting by Drake Wolf with two doubles and an RBI and Gavin Meinhart with a double and two RBI.
O/H/P was led by J. Wire and B. Manhart with two singles each. Manhart added an RBI. The squad improved to 2-3 on the season.
Newton dropped to 3-3.

Effingham St. Anthony's junior varsity team handed Robinson an 11-1 loss in six innings via the 10-run rule Tuesday.
Hayden Bushur and Nash Wernsing combined to throw a one-hitter. Bushur went four innings allowing one hit, walking three and striking out eight for the win. Wernsing tossed the final two innings, allowing one run with two strikeouts.
Charley Spour led offensively with a single, double, triple and two RBI. Jonny Gannaway had a single and double and Will Vonderheide a double and two RBI. Quintin Stephens added a single and three RBI.
