The Bulldogs edged out to a 1-0 opening inning lead then tacked on another run in the second. They then pushed the lead to 6-0 in the third and had a seven-run fourth. The game ended in the fifth with another run.
St. Anthony had eight hits in the contest led by Brock Fearday wth a single and double, Henry Brent with two singles and two RBI, Aiden Lauritzen with a single and four RBI, Rogan Allen with a double and two RBI and Alex Mayer with a double and an RBI. Xander Beals added a single and an RBI and Samuel Link, Vincent Vogel and Tim Seiler had an RBI each.
Meanwhile, Mayer went three innings, allowing one hit while striking out five for the win on the mound.

At Effingham
Newton came calling and captured a 6-3 victory over Effingham in Monday action.
The Hearts outhit Newton by a 9-6 count and actually took a 1-0 lead in the second inning as Wyatt Hayes drew a walk and later scored.
Newton tied the game at 1-1 in the top of the third on a wild pitch. In the top of the fifth the Eagles broke up the tie when Gavin Meinhart singled, scoring two runs. An error followed to extend Newton's lead to 4-1.
The Eagles then pushed their lead to 6-2 in the sixth. The Hearts scored single runs in the fifth and sixth.
Carson Barthelme went six innings for Newton, giving up three runs on eight hits, three walks and striking out two.
Effingham was led in the hitting department by Meinhart with two singles, a double and three RBI.
Leading Newton were Meinhart with two singles, a double and three RBI, Drake Wolf with a double and Dominic Baltzell with a double.
Effingham is back in action today at Marshall.

At Teutopolis
Teutopolis improved to 3-1 on the season with a 10-2 victory over Cumberland Monday.
The Pirates took a 2-0 lead in the top of the second but T-town came right back with four runs and never looked back.
The Wooden Shoes had eight hits led by Carter Hoene with a double, home run and two RBI and Michael Niebrugge with a home run and three RBI. Dawson Hoene added a double and an RBI while Davin Worman, Henry Thompson and Cooper Tegeler had a single and an RBI each.
Hoene went five innings for the pitching victory. He gave up two runs on six hits, two walks while striking out five.
Cumberland dropped to 0-3 on the season while Teutopolis pushed its record to 3-1.
The Wooden Shoes are back in action today at Greenville.
Cumberland returns to play Wednesday at Olney.

Neoga moved its record to 3-1 by edging North Clay/Clay City, 4-3 Monday.
The score was knotted at 2-2 in the first inning. Neoga moved into a 4-2 lead with two runs in the second. North Clay/Clay City came back with a run in the third and that was the last of the scoring for both teams.
The Indians finished with six hits led by Cayden Hakman with a double and an RBI, Malik Coy with two singles, Carter Young and Landon Titus with a single and an RBI each.
Coy came on in relief in the first inning and finished with the victory on the mound. He went 6.2 innings, allowing one run on four hits, three walks while striking out three.
North Clay/Clay City was led by Carder Walden with a single and an RBI. The Cardinals drop to 2-3 and are back in action Wednesday against Brownstown/St. Elmo at 4:30 p.m.
Neoga isn't back in action until Saturday at Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond at 10 a.m.

Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg scored four runs in the opening inning and went on for a 6-3 victory over Sullivan Monday.
The Hatchets finished with six hits in the contest and drew 10 walks while striking out only once.
Jackson Gurgel had two singles while Derk Friese added a single and two RBI. Branson Tingley had a single and an RBI and Carter Verdeyen and Wyatt Wetherell had an RBI each.
Aiden Sayers went five innings, allowing one run on no hits, two walks and striking out six.

The Bobcats are back in action today against Sullivan.

Dieterich fell victim to Shelbyville by an 8-3 tally Monday.
The two teams played to a 1-1 opening inning tie. The Rams moved ahead 3-1 in the second. Again both teams tallied single runs in the fifth as Shelbyville led 4-2. The Rams then brought home four more runs in the sixth.
Shelbyville was outhit by Dieterich by an 8-5 count.
The Maroons were led by Gavin Meinhart and Jaxon Funneman with a double and an RBI each. Dom Ashley had three singles.
