Teutopolis claimed a junior high baseball doubleheader victory over Greenville Saturday.

The Wooden Shoes easily dispatched Greenville 9-0 in the opener. A single by Owen Lynch on an 0-2 count put the Wooden Shoes on the board in the bottom of the first.

T-town added to their early lead in the bottom of the second after Gus Martin singled and Kale Goeckner hit into a fielder's choice, each scoring one run for a 3-0 lead.

Grayson Schmidt earned the win for the Shoes. He gave up no runs and two hits over four innings with three strikeouts. Derek Drees tossed the final three innings with four strikeouts.

Sam Probst had two singles while Owen Lynch and Gus Martin had a single and an RBI each and Goeckner 2 RBI.

In the second contest, the Shoes snatched the lead late in a 2-1 victory. T-town held a 1-0 opening inning lead but Greenville knotted the score in the top of the third. T-town then tallied the winning run in the bottom of the fifth.

Both teams had six hits. T-town was led by Probst with two singles and an RBI and Drees with a single and an RBI.

Owen Lynch was the starting pitcher, going three innings, allowing one run on three hits, no walks and striking out three for the win. Goeckner went two innings with two strikeouts while Blake Niemerg finished with one inning, giving up one hit and striking out one.
