Effingham Junior High School pounded out 11 hits and tallied a 13-4 win over Casey-Westfield in baseball competition Tuesday.
The Mustangs trailed Casey-Westfield by a 4-1 count after two innings. But Effingham came back to produce a run in each of the next four innings for the win.
Effingham had 11 hits led by Balin Garris with two singles, a double and two RBI, Calvin Beck with a single, double and two RBI, Dagg Thompson with a single, double and one RBI, Wade Robison with a double and two RBI, Braden Jones with a double and Kaden Rohr with two singles and two RBI. Elliott Braddy and Deek Thompson had an RBI each.
Coen Westjohn went six innings on the mound. He allowed four runs on seven hits, three walks and struck out six for the victory.
Coach Rod Wiethop's squad improved to 13-4 on the season and returns to competition today at Robinson in a 6:30 p.m. contest.

At Cisne
South Central and Cisne went scoreless through the first four innings before Cisne tallied a run in the fifth and one more in the sixth for a 2-0 victory Tuesday.
South Central had four hits in the contest led by Ben Skibinski with a single and double and Nate Knutt with a double.
Cisne had three hits.
South Central's Colton Tockstein took the loss on the mound after going six innings, allowing two runs on three hits. He gave up only one walk and struck out 13.
