Junior high baseball results from Tuesday:
Cumberland 14, Dieterich 1 (Cumberland pounded out 13 hits. Reed had three hits and drove in three runs, and Gatlin, Andrew and Tanner each had two hits. Cumberland's Andrew held Dieterich to two hits. Hall took the loss for Dieterich)

St. Anthony blanked Charleston 10-0. (Tingley and McDonald each had three hits for the Bullpups, while Wagner and Verdeyen had two each; Verdeyen pitched a two-hit shutout)

Mattoon downed Effingham 9-5. (Thompson, Westjohn, Jones, and Braddy each had a hit for the Mustangs. Westjohn took the loss despite 10 strikeouts in six innings of work)

Stew-Stras 13, Altamont 1 (Stew-Stras, playing a home game at Windsor Tuesday, scored 10 runs in the first inning and won 13-1 in four innings. Weston Friese hit a three-run home and Samuel Gracey hit a two-run double to lead the Comet attack; Thompson got the pitching win, while Huston took the loss for Altamont)
