The Mustangs edged out to a 5-3 lead in the first inning but led by only one after two, 7-6. The Mustangs then broke loose with three runs in the third and tacked on six more in the bottom of the fifth to end the game via the 10-run rule.
Effingham finished with 17 hits led by Coen Westjohn with three singles, a double and an RBI while Dagg Thompson had two singles, a double and an RBI. Calvin Beck had a single, double and three RBI, Kaden Rohr a single, double and two RBI, Deek Thompson a single and two RBI and Jake Dulumback a single and an RBI.
Braden Jones pitched 3.2 innings allowing six runs on six hits, four walks while striking out seven for the win on the mound. Balin Garris finished out 1.1 innings with two walks and striking out three.

Effingham St .Anthony claimed a 13-1 victory over Vandalia Wednesday.
The Bullpups tallied single runs in the third and fifth around two in the fourth. They finished out with nine in the sixth to end the game.
Luke Roewe threw a two-hitter allowing only one walk while striking out eight in five innings.
Samuel Vineyard, Kolin Kiefer and Owen Wrigley had two singles and three RBI each for the Bullpups. Eli Bales added two singles and an RBI while Bentley Baudier had a single and two RBI.
