The Cougars finished with nine hits in the game and were aided by four BSE errors.
Brownstown/St. Elmo held a 2-1 lead after two innings but South Central moved ahead with two runs in the third, then finished out with three in the fifth and two in the sixth.
Colton Smith led the Cougars with a single, double and five RBI while Callaway Smith added two singles and an RBI. Hudson Moore chipped in with a double and two RBI.
Ca. Smith picked up the pitching victory. He went four innings giving up two runs on four hits, no walks while striking out seven.
Brownstown/St. Elmo was led in hitting by Lucas Powell, Calin Chandler, Dodge Willms and C.Voelker with a single each. Voelker added an RBI.

Dieterich blanked Altamont by a 3-0 count in Friday action.
The Movin' Maroons finished with 11 hits in the contest led by Mason Lidy with three singles, Andrew Hall, Gavin Meinhart and Justin Boerngen with two singles each. Meinhart added two RBI. Gavin French added an RBI.
Hall was the winner on the mound. He went 6.2 innings, allowing no runs on three hits, giving up three walks and striking out five.
Altamont was led by Kade Milleille and Keegan Schultz with a doube each. Evan Elam chipped in the the other hit, a single.
