S. Central Wins Twice, Dieterich Victorious In H.S. Baseball

It took only five innings Friday to down Mulberry Grove, 13-1.
Neither team scored in the first two innings. South Central then broke loose with a 6-1 lead in the third and ended the game via the 10-run rule.
Brody Markley hit a single and knocked out a home run. He finished with three RBI. Colton Smith added three singles and two RBI while Hudson Moore had two singles and two RBI. Colby Bursott added a single and two RBI.
Chase Guerrettaz threw four innings on the mound for the victory. He allowed one run on four hits and five strikeouts. He didn't give up a walk.
South Central then claimed a 9-6 victory over Woodlawn in a Saturday contest.
The Cougars stepped out to a 4-1 opening inning lead and tacked on a single run in the second. Woodlawn tied the score in the top of the third but South Central regained the lead with two in the bottom of the frame and went on for the win.
South Central had nine hits led by Callaway Smith with a single and solo home run, Garret Shumate with a single, double and an RBI, Colby Bursott with two singles and Maddox Robb with a single and two RBI.
Brody Markley won on the mound. He went the first 2.2 innings, allowing four runs on no hits, five walks while striking out three.

Neoga and Dieterich went scoreless through the first five innings before the Movin' Maroons tallied two runs and went on for a 2-0 victory Friday.
Gavin Meinhart went the distance on the mound for the Maroons. He allowed three hits, walked three and struck out four.
Dieterich was led by Meinhart with a double and two RBI while B. Bohnhoff added a double and Mason Lidy two singles.
Neoga had only three hits. Landon Titus had two of those hits, singles while Malik Coy added a single.
