Only two runs were scored and that was by St. Anthony in the opening inning for the 2-0 victory. The two squads went through the second through seventh without a score.
The Bullpups finished with eight hits led by Curtis Tingley with two singles and a double and Blake Verdeyen with a double and an RBI. The rest of the hits were all singles by four different players.
Verdeyen went 5.2 innings on the mound for the win. He allowed no runs on three hits, one walk while striking out 10. Tingley came on to finish the 1.1 innings with two strikeouts.
Effingham had four hits led by Coen Westjohn with a double.

At Altamont
Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City trailed Altamont Lutheran 2-1 after the first inning. The score was then tied at 4-4 in the second before CHBC moved ahead for good with a run in the third and tallied a 10-7 victory Thursday.
CHBC finished with 10 hits in the contest led by Braddy Cox with two singles and a triple. Colton Ondes and Lance Roadarmel had two singles each. Ondes added an RBI. Luke Roadarmel added a single and two RBI while Matt Kircher had a single and an RBI. Lyric Davis added an RBI.
Cayden Ondes came on in relief in the second inning and went 2.2 innings, allowing one hit, three walks and striking out one for the win on the mound.

At Pana
Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg added a game against Pana and came out a winner by a 15-7 count.
The game was called after five innings because of a two-hour time limit.
At Louisville
North Clay picked up its first win of the young season by bouncing Clay City by a 22-3 count.
North Clay is now 1-4 on the season and is back in action today at South Central with a 4:30 p.m. start.
