CORL Claims 9-4 Win Over BSE, Neoga Beats Odin In H.S. Baseball

After scoring four in the third, CORL tallied three in the fourth. Brownstown/St. Elmo came back within 7-4 with two runs in the fifth and sixth innings but CORL put another two runs on the board in the top of the seventh.
Brownstown/Elmo outhit Christ Our Rock Lutheran by an 8-6 count but committed seven errors.
Keelan Speagle and Gavin Sanders had two singles each for SEB. Speagle added an RBI. Calin Chandler and Benji Lowe had a single and an RBI each and Lucas Powelll added an RBI.
It was the season opener for Brownstown/St. Elmo. The Eagles are back in action Thursday at Webber Township (Bluford).

Neoga handed Odin a 12-2 loss in six innings Tuesday behind the no-hit pitching of four hurlers.
Colin Blazich opened on the mound, going three innings, allowing one run, two walks while striking out five. G. Ballinger pitched 1.1 innings allowing one run, three walks while striking out three. Carter Young came on for 0.2 innings, giving up one walk. J. Finney threw one inning with one strikeout.
Neoga trailed Odin 4-1 after the first inning but tallied three in the third and two in the fourth and fifth innings, finishing with one in the sixth to win by the 10-run rule.
Blazich hit a home run and had two RBI while Cayden Hakman had two singles, a double and five RBI. Matt Propst had a single, double and an RBI and G. Ballinger a double and two RBI. Ethan O'Dell had a single and an RBI.
