Kingery Printing, Dairy Queen Reach Cal Ripken Title Game

Kingery Printing and Dairy Queen picked up victories in the Cal Ripken League Tournament Monday evening to advance to the championship game.

Kingery Printing trounced Arab Pest Control 16-2 in five innings. Kingery stepped out to an 8-0 first inning lead. Aaron Webb was the winning pitcher on a four-hitter.

Webb also led the way offensively with two doubles and two RBI. Mitch Hardiek had a single, double and two RBI while Mitch Hemmen added two singles and an RBI and Chase Thies a double and two RBI.

Nick Bishop led Arab with a single, double and two RBI.

Dairy Queen downed NAPA 7-4 by scoring four runs in the first and three in the third. NAPA attempted a comeback with three in the fourth and one in the sixth.

Parker Siner picked up the pitching win on a five-hitter. Luke Ludwig had a single and double for the winners while Noah Teasley had a double and four RBI.

Leading NAPA was Dylan Bushur with a single, double and an RBI and Reid Mathenia with a two-run homer. He finished with three RBI.

Kingery and Dairy Queen will square off for the championship Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Arab and NAPA will meet for third place at 5:30 p.m.
