The American League continues to dominate in the Major League Baseball All-Star Game, this time beating the National League by a 5-3 count Tuesday at Globe Life Field.

Although the National League claimed last year's victory, the American League has been successful in 10 of the last 11 All-Star games and winning 22 of the last 27.

The American League had only five hits while the NL banged out 10 hits. But Boston's Jarren Duran knocked out a two-run homer while Juan Soto finished with a double and two RBI,

Los Angeles Dodgers' Shohei Ohtani nailed a three-run homer in the third inning to get the National League off in the right direction.

But the American League came back rapidly. Texas Rangers Marcus Semien led off the third with a single and Steven Kwan of the Cleveland Guardians drew a walk. Soto then doubled and the lead stood at 3-2. David Fry, also a Guardians player, had a pinch-hit single to knot the score.

Duran hit a two-run homer in the fifth for the American League victory.

The week of the All-Star game also produced Teoscar Hernandez of the Dodgers winning the Home Run Derby.
