Effingham St. Anthony ended its high school baseball game in the fifth via the 10-run rule over Neoga, 11-1 Wednesday.

The Bulldogs took a 4-0 first inning lead then added on a single run in the second. The Bulldogs led 8-1 after three and tacked on three more in the fifth.

Brock Fearday hit a home run and finished with three RBI for the Bulldogs. Samuel Link had three singles and also drove in three runs. Max Koenig had two singles and two RBI and Will Fearday a double. Beau Adams added an RBI.

Link went the five innings, giving up one run on three hits, one walk and striking out three.

Colin Blazich hit a solo homer for the Indians while Keaton Lacy and Landon Titus added a single each.

Neoga committed three errors in the contest.

At Beecher City

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City edged Brownstown/St. Elmo by a 4-3 count Wednesday.

CHBC held a 1-0 opening inning lead but BSE moved ahead 2-1 in the second. The two teams were tied at 3-3 after the third inning. CHBC then tallied what would prove to be the winning run in the fifth.

Both teams had six hits and both teams had four errors.

Clive Schlanser led the Bobcats with two singles while AJ Radloff added a single and an RBI.

St. Elmo/Brownstown was led by Josiah Maxey with a single, double and two RBI and Collin Maxey with two singles. BSE dropped to 6-11-1 on the season and is back in action today at Centralia Christ Our Rock Lutheran.

At Beecher City

At Salem

South Central fell to Salem in a 3-1 loss Wednesday.

The Wildcats held a 2-0 lead in the second inning. South Central came back with a run in the third. But Salem added on another run in the fourth.

Salem's R. Detering went 5.2 innings allowing one run on one hit, four walks whiles striking out 12. C. Shelton came on to throw 1.1 innings allowing one walk.

South Central's lone hit was a single by Colton Smith.

At Louisville

North Clay (Louisville) handed Nashville an 6-5 loss in five innings Wednesday.

North Clay is now 12-12-1 on the season and is back in action today at Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City in a 4:30 p.m. contest.
