NEOGA -- Neoga High School did not have a hit Friday but came out a 4-0 winner over Dieterich in baseball action.

Neoga tallied two runs in the second and single runs in the third and fifth despite not having a hit. The Indians took advantage of five walks and three Dieterich errors.

Micah Staszak went five innings on the mound, allowing two hits, no walks while striking out three. Three other pitchers gave up three hits and a walk.

Dieterich was led by Lucas Westendorf with a single and double and Mason Lidy with two singles.

Landon Titus finished with an RBI for Neoga.

Lucas Westendorf suffered the loss going five innings, allowing no hits, five walks and striking out four. Andrew Hall came on to throw the final inning, giving up no hits, no walks and striking out one.

At Brownstown

Brownstown/St. Elmo struck in the third inning with three runs and went on for beat Mulberry Grove, 4-2 Friday.

Both teams had just one hit. BSE was led by Adam Atwood with a single.

Atwood also went the distance on the mound, allowing two runs on one hit, two walks while striking out 14.

Collin Maxey, Lucas Powell, Corey Hoopingarner and Gavin Sanders had one RBI each.

Brownstown/St. Elmo improved to 5-8-1 on the season.

At Altamont

Altamont handed Richland County a 10-0 loss in five innings via the 10-run rule Friday.

The Indians moved ahead 4-0 in the second then tacked on one in the third and five in the fourth.

Altamont finished with nine hits led by Keegan Schultz with a double, home run and three RBI while Ethan Robbins had a single, double and an RBI and Kaden Davis a double. Nathan Stuemke had a single and two RBI. Clayton Arnold and Kaidyn Miller had a single and an RBI each and Kade Milleville an RBI.

Dillan Elam threw the two-hitter with two walks and seven strikeouts.

At Atlamont

South Central blanked Flora 10-0 in six innings Friday.

The Cougars held a 4-0 opening inning lead and ended the game in the sixth via the 10-run rule.

Brody Markley led the hitting attack with three singles and an RBI. Max Magnus and Trevan Sidwell had two singles and an RBI each. C. Smith had two singles. Coen West,  Maddox Robb, Zane Montes, Evan Hoover and Hudson Moroe had an RBI each

Flora pitching gave up the 11 hits and nine walks.

C. Smith was the winner on the mound, going 4.2 innings, alllowing two hits, one walk while striking out three.
