SALEM -- Effingham St. Anthony stepped out to a 2-0 first inning lead and went on to end this high school baseball game over Salem in five innings, 11-1  Monday.

The Bulldogs took a 2-0 first inning lead then tacked on three in the fourth and finished the game via the 10-run rule in the sixth.

Connor Roepke knocked out two home runs and ended with four RBI for the Bulldogs. Will Fearday had two singles, a home run and four RBI. Brady Hatton added a single and double.

Joseph Tegeler was the winner on the mound, going four innings, allowing one run on three hits, one walk and striking out four. Nick Ruholl went one inning with one strikeout.

St. Anthony also claimed a junior varsity contest, 9-4. The Bulldogs held a 1-0 lead through four innings then added on four in the fifth and two in the sixth and seventh.

E. Utz led the way with a single, double and an RBI while Will Bierman had a single and double. Rogan Allen chipped in with two singles and an RBI.

Altamont took a 3-0 opening inning lead and went on for an 8-3 victory Monday.

The Indians had six hits led by Eli Miller with a single, double and three RBI and Nathan Stuemke with single, double and an RBI.

Dillan Elam picked up the win in five innings, allowing three runs on four hits, one walk while striking out nine.

South Central had four hits led by Zane Montes with a single and two RBI and Brody Markley with a single and an RBI.

At Strasburg

Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg bounced Moweaqua Central A&M, 21-0 Monday.

The Hatchets had seven-run innings in the first, second and third innings.

They finished with 16 hits led by Ben Bridges with a single, double and three RBI, Kendall Morris with a single, double and two RBI, Jackson Gurgel with a double and five RBI, Colten Bridges, Seth Rincker and Connor Manahrt with two singles each. Bridges and Rincker had an RBI each.

Manhart went the four innings on the mound, allowing three hits, no walks while striking out five.

Neoga ran out to a 5-0 opening inning lead, had a 10-run second and finished this game over Heritage, 15-0 in five innings Monday.

The Indians had eight hits in the contest led by Colin Blazich with a double, home run and five RBI, Brock Lanham with a home run and two RBI, Matt Probst with a home run and two RBI and Trey Sheehan with a single and double. Josiah Gentry added two RBI.

Lanham went two innings allowing one hit and striking out three for the victory on the mound.

At Neoga

Dieterich had nine hits for a 13-3 victory over Mulberry Grove Monday.

The Movin' Maroons were led by Dominic Ashley with two singles, a double and an RBI, Andrew Hall added a double and an RBI. Carson Baxter had two singles and an RBI while Mason Lidy, Luke Westendorf and Justin Boerngen had a single and an RBI each.

Gavin French picked up the win on the mound, going all five innings. He gave up three runs on six hits, walked only one and struck out eight.

At Dieterich

Mahomet-Seymour came to town and handed Teutopolis a 6-1 loss Monday.

The Bulldogs moved ahead 4-0 in the third then added on the final two runs in the fifth.

Mahomet-Seymour had four hits led by R. Long with a single, home run and four RBI.

Teutopolis was led by Garret Gaddis with a single and an RBI.

T-town had three players on the mound. Gaddis picked up the win, going two innings, allowing four runs on two hits, two walks and striking out two. Andrew Probst went two innings allowing two runs, one walk and striking out four. Joey Niebrugge came in to finish out the final two innigss, striking out three.

At Tetuopolis

North Clay (Louisville) fell to Okaw Valley, 1-0 in 10 innings Monday.

The Cardinals dropped to 3-5 on the season and return to action today at Dieterich in a 4:30 p.m. contest.
