>>Dunn Homer Gives White Sox Walk-Off Win Over O's

(Chicago, IL)  --  Adam Dunn hit his 23rd home run of the season with one out in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the White Sox a 3-2 win over the Orioles at U.S. Cellular Field.  Dunn finished 3-for-4 with two RBI as Chicago took the rubber match of the three-game series.  He and Alexei Ramirez both singled in runs in the sixth to stake the Sox to a 2-0 lead.  An error by Dunn and a sac-fly by Nick Markakis tied the game at two for Baltimore in the eighth inning.  Addison Reed got the win in relief of starter Jose Quintana, who struck out 11 while allowing just two hits in seven shutout innings.  Tommy Hunter took the loss for the O's.

>>Angels Rally Past Wainwright, Cardinals

(Anaheim, CA)  --  The Angels scored three runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to walk off with a 6-5 win over the Cardinals at Angel Stadium.  Adam Wainwright was in line for a win and started the ninth inning, but gave way to closer Edward Mujica.  Josh Hamilton tied it up at five with a two-run home run and Erick Aybar singled home Howie Kendrick for the win.  Mujica blew his first save of the season and took his first loss.  Mark Trumbo also homered for the Angels.  Scott Downs got the win in relief to improve to 2-and-2.  Allen Craig hit a three-run homer for the Cardinals in the loss.  The Angels won the three-game series and have won eight of their last nine overall.

>>Straily Sharp As A's Shut Out Cubs

(Oakland, CA)  --  Dan Straily combined with two relievers on a two-hitter as the Athletics shut out the Cubs 1-0 at the Coliseum.  Straily walked three but allowed just one hit over seven innings to move to 5-and-2 with the win.  Grant Balfour got the final three outs for his 21st save as Oakland took the rubber match of the three-game series.  Derek Norris walked and eventually scored the game's lone run on a passed ball in the seventh inning.  Matt Guerrier took the loss for Chicago in his first outing since being acquired in the Carlos Marmol trade.  Starlin Castro and Alfonso Soriano had the lone hits for the Cubs.
