IHSCA All-State Teams Named

Several area players were named to the Illinois High School Coaches Association All-State Baseball Teams.

In Class 1A, Christian Vonderheide (Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg along with Adam Cox (North Clay) were named. Vonderheide, a junior, and Cox, a sophomore, both pitch and play shortstop.

In Class 2A, Effingham St. Anthony's Ben Hecht and Teutopolis' Kyle Pruemer and Jared Waldhoff were named. Hecht, a senior, pitched and played shortstop while Pruemer, a senior, pitched and played first base and Waldhoff, a senior, pitched and played the outfield. Also named was Shelbyville's Eli Miller, a senior outfielder.
