TTown Sweeps North Clay; Other Weekend Scores

The Teutopolis Wooden Shoes swept a Saturday doubleheader from the North Clay Cardinals.
The Shoes took the opener 5-1 and the nightcap 16-3.
North Clay led the opener 1-0 due to a run in the third until the Shoes erupted with five runs in the seventh.
Garrett Gaddis got the win for Teutopolis, going 6-1/3 innings, allowing the single run on six hits, walking three and striking out six. Davin Worman got the final two outs.
Ian Jones took the loss, going 6-2/3 innings. Jones allowing three of the runs on seven hits, walked four and struck out six. Jack Compton got the final out, allowing two unearned runs on three hits and striking out one.

GAME TWO--The Shoes scored two runs in the first, six in the second, five in the third and three in the fifth to win by the 10-run rule.
Probst got the win with Devin Kreke throwing the final inning. Ethan Sullens took the loss for the Cardinals with Ben Czyzewski and Evan Clifton also pitching.

Woodlawn defeated Brownstown/St. Elmo 10-7 Saturday. A big six-run second inning for Woodlawn was the difference.
Lucas Powell took the loss for BSE, allowing seven run in two innings.

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City 2, Dieterich 1
The Bobcats scored in the fifth and in the bottom of the seventh to pull out the win. Dieterich scored its lone run in the third.
Radloff got the win for CHBC while Ashley took the loss for the Movin Maroons.
