St. A, S. Central, Altamont Take Baseball Wins, BSE Falls

The Bulldogs swept out to an 8-0 first inning lead then had a seven-run second and ended the contest with three in the fourth.
St. Anthony hit the long ball with three home runs and a double. Connor Roepke went the distance twice and finished with five RBI. Aiden Lauritzen hit a single, home run and ended with four RBI. Beau Adams added a double while Will Fearday had two singles and drove in three runs.
Meanwhile, the Bulldogs' mound staff kept Neoga off the bases, allowing only three hits. Adams went three innings, giving up the lone run, three hits, one walk and striking out two. Nick Ruholl finished out the last inning with one strikeout.
Neoga's three hits were a double and an RBI by AJ Henderson and singles off the bats of Carter Young and Josiah Gentry. The Indians fall to 1-1 in the National Trail Conference, 3-5 overall.

At Odin
South Central went on a base-hitting tear in bouncing Odin/Patoka/Sandoval, 16-4 in five innings Thursday.
The Cougars finished with 15 hits. Brody Markley had a single, home run and two RBI while Zane Montes added two doubles and drove in three runs. Hudson Moore chipped in with a single, double and two RBI. Trevan Sidwell, Coen West and Maddox Robb added two singles and an RBI each. Colten Smith and Colby Bursott added a single and two RBI each.
West went two innings for the win, giving up one run on two hits, no walks and striking out five. Markley came on to finish out the last three innings, allowing three runs on three hits, two walks and six strikeouts.

At Mulberry Grove
Eli Miller threw a one-hitter, gave up only one walk and struck out 13 as Altamont ended this game in the fifth via the 10-run rule, 10-0 over Mulberry Grove Thursday.
While Miller was keeping the Aces off the bases, Dillan Elam had a single, double and an RBI while Clayton Arnold added a single and three RBI and Miller a double and an RBI. Ethan Robbins and Riley Berg had a single and an RBI each.
The two teams went scoreless in the first before Altamont moved ahead 4-0 in the second and sandwiched a single run around another four-run inning in the fourth. The Indians finished out with one in the fifth.

Centralia Christ Our Rock Lutheran blanked Brownstown/St. Elmo by a 6-0 score Thursday.
CORL banged out 13 hits in the contest led by Isaiah with two singles and a double, Dabney with a single and triple and Hanke with a double.
Brownstown/St. Elmo's lone hit was a single by Calin Chandler.
BSE drops to 2-8 on the season and returns to action today at Altamont.
