Pals went all five innings, allowing no runs on no hits, two walks and striking out six.
Meanwhile, the Mustangs edged out to a 1-0 first inning lead then had a 10-run third to end the game via the 10-run rule in the fifth.
Carson Fox had a home run and three RBI while Ian Kinkelaar had a single, double and an RBI. Hank Nelson chipped in with two singles and two RBI and James Wendt a single and two RBI.

Effingham Sacred Heart edged Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City, 8-6.
The Shamrocks took a 1-0 first inning lead then added on two in the second. CHBC pulled within 3-2 in the top of the third but Sacred Heart came right back with four runs in the bottom of the frame to lead 7-2. CHBC scored two runs in the fifth. Sacred Heart tallied its final run in the sixth. CHBC fought back to make it a close game with two runs in the seventh.
Nash Wernsing was the winning pitcher along with banging out two doubles and an RBI. Mason Karolewicz had a single and two RBI.
CHBC was led by Lance Roadarmel with a double, Karsyn Calame with a triple, Connor Vaughn with two singles and Cayden Ondes with a single and four RBI.

Charleston took a 3-0 first inning lead and went on to beat Effingham St. Anthony, 7-1 Tuesday.
The Bullpups had only three hits in the game, singles by Andrew Wagner, Blake Verdeyen and Conner Storm. Wagner had the lone RBI.

Cumberland held off Paris Mayo for a 4-3 victory Tuesday.
Mayo edged out to a 2-1 lead in the third inning. Cumberland came back to move ahead 3-2 in the fifth then tacked on another run in the sixth. Mayo's attempted comeback in the seventh fell a run short.
Cumberland had five hits compared to eight for Mayo and also finished with three errors.
Gavin Wormhoudt and Gatlin Murphy had a single and an RBI each while Andrew Swim added an RBI.
