T-town Defeats Neoga in H.S. Baseball

TEUTOPOLIS -- Teutopolis broke a 1-1 tie with a run in the fifth then tacked on four in the sixth for a 6-2 win over Neoga in high school baseball competition Monday.

The Wooden Shoes had edged out to a 1-0 first inning lead but the Indians came right back to tie the score in the second.

Gavin Addis and Austin Borries combined on the mound. Addis was the winner, going 5.1 innings, allowing one run on two hits, two walks while striking out nine. Borries went 1.2 innings allowing one run on two hits, no walks and striking out four.

T-town had eight hits in the contest led by Mick Niebrugge with two singles, a double and two RBI. Davin Worman added two singles and an RBI, Zac Niebrugge a double and an RBI and Brett Kreke a double.

Matt Propst led Neoga with a single and a solo home run. Keaton Lacy added a triple.
