Aiden Lauritzen threw a three-hitter as Effingham St. Anthony blanked Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg in high school baseball action Tuesday.

Lauritzen went six innings, giving up just one walk and striking out three.

Meanwhile, the Bulldogs had six hits and took advantage of five Hatchet errors. St. Anthony moved ahead 4-0 in the first inning and upped that to 7-0 in the second. The final run came in the fifth.

Henry Brent had two singles for the Bulldogs while Beau Adams, Lauritzen, Connor Roepke and Samuel Link put together a single and an RBI each, Brock Fearday and Brady Hatton added an RBI each.

The Hatchets had only three hits, singles by Ben Bridges, Branson Tingley and Seth Rincker.

At St. Anthony

At Altamont

Altamont ran out to a 7-0 first inning lead and ended this game in the fifth via the 10-run rule by a 13-0 tally Tuesday.

The Indians had eight hits led by Keegan Schultz with a single, double and two RBI. Ethan Robbins and Eli Miller added a single and two RBI each while Kade Milleville and Kaden Davis had two RBI each. Nathan Stuemke and Dillan Elam added a single and an RBI each.

Kade Milleville kept Dieterich off the bases. He went five innings on the mound, allowing two hits, one walk while striking out six.

Dieterich's two singles came off the bats of Justin Boerngen and Carson Baxter.

At Kinmundy

South Central garnered 11 walks and took advantage of four errors  for a 16-1 win over St. Elmo/Brownstown in four innings Tuesday.

The Cougars had a five-run second and a nine-run fourth to finish the contest. They had seven hits led by Trevan Sidwell with a single, double and five RBI. Brody Markley had a double and drove in two runs while C. Smith had a double and an RBI. Maddox Robb added a single and an RBI. Hudson Moore added a double.

Sidwell also led South Central on the mound, going the distance, allowing one hit, three walks and four strikeouts.

BSE dropped to 1-5 on the season and 0-1 in the National Trail Conference. BSE returns to action today at Mulberry Grove.

North Clay/Clay City improved to 1-1 in the National Trail Conference and 3-1 overall by downing Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City, 4-1.

Carter Walden hit a home run while Ingram had two singles and Jones had a single and two RBI for the Cardinals.

Ian Jones picked up the pitching win, allowing three hits. North Clay is back in action Friday against Effingham St. Anthony at 4:30 p.m.

CHBC was led by Wyatt Rueff with a double and Layne Jones a single and an RBI.
