South Central Blanks Windsor/Stew-Stras In H.S. Baseball

The lone area high school baseball contest played Tuesday found South Central blanking Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg by an 11-0 count.

The Cougars edged out to a 1-0 first inning lead then had a 10-run third to finish the game in the fifth via the 10-run rule.

South Central had six hits in the game led by Brody Markley with two doubles and two RBI, Zane Montes and Maddox Robb with two singles and an RBI each and Colby Bursott with two RBI. Four other players had an RBI each.

The Cougars were aided by five Windsor/Stew-Stras errors and nine walks.

The Hatchets were led by Ben Bridges with a single and double and Connor Manhart with a single.
