FRIDAY GAMES
Effingham's Jenner Pals threw a no-hitter as the Mustangs handed Carmi-White County a 15-0 loss in four innings.
Pals went three innings, allowing no hits, two walks while striking out nine. Westin Hayes went the final inning, allowing no hits, one walk while striking out four.
Meanwhile, the Mustangs ripped out to a 5-0 first inning lead and ended the contest in the fourth.
Effingham had 15 hits led by Carson Fox with two singles, a three-run homer and four RBI, Hank Nelson a three-run homer, James Wendt three singles and three RBI, Daegan Mooney two singles and two RBI, Pals two singles and two RBI and Hayes two singles.

At Sandoval
South Central blanked Sandoval by an 18-0 count in four innings.
The Falcons led 4-0 after three innings then ended the contest with a 14-run fourth.
I. Guerrettaz went the distance on the mound, allowing two hits, two walks while striking out seven.
Meanwhile, the Falcons had eight hits and were aided by six Sandoval errors.
R. Dodson had a single, double and two RBI while C. Tockstein and H. Durham had a double each. Durham had three RBI and Tockstein one. E. Hiestand had two singles and two RBI while I. Guerrettaz had a single and three RBI and H. Lash two RBI.

Effingham St. Anthony's C. Tingley, J. Gannaway and M. Storm had their hitting shoes on in a 6-3 victory over Robinson Nuttall.
The Bullpups had 10 hits led by Tingley with two singles and a double, Gannaway with three singles and two RBI and M. Storm with a single and double. C. Storm had a single and two RBI
C. Hoene went four innings for the win, allowing three runs on three hits, no walks and three strikeouts. Gannaway came on to throw the final three innings, allowing five hits, no walks and striking out four.

At Teutopolis
Teutopolis split victories in Saturday competition.
The Wooden Shoes fell to Mount Zion by a 7-5 count in the opening game. Mount Zion stepped out to a 4-0 lead in the second inning. T-town scored its two runs in the third and fifth.
T-town had eight hits but committed five errors. E. Weidner had two singles and two RBI while J. Probst had two singles and an RBI. B. Schumacher had a double and an RBI.
In the second contest, T-town was an 8-2 winner. The Shoes took a 2-0 first inning lead but Tolono Unity tied in the top of the third. However, T-town came back in the bottom of the frame to move ahead 5-2 then scored two more in the fourth and one in the fifth.
J. Probst had two singles while E. Weidner had two RBI.
J. Probst was the winning pitcher, going three innings, allowing two runs on two hits, four walks and striking out two.

At Toledo
Cumberland downed Okaw Valley Saturday and played to a 4-4 tie with Sigel St. Michael.
Cumberland tallied a 7-5 victory over Okaw Valley. Okaw Valley moved into a 1-0 first inning lead but Cumberland held a 5-4 lead after three innings then tacked on two more runs in the fourth.
Reed Walker won on the mound, going 5.2 innings, allowing five runs on five hits. He did not walk a batter and ended up with 13 strikeouts.
Cumberland was led in hitting by Ty Ralston with two singles and an RBI. The rest of the hits were singles by five different players.
Cumberland and Sigel St. Michael played to a 4-4 tie in eight innings.
St. Michael tallied a run in the top of the fourth and Cumberland moved into a 4-1 lead in the bottom of the frame. The Sharpshooters tied the score with three in the top of the fifth.
Cumberland had five hits, all singles. Walker and Evan Davis had a single and an RBI each.
St. Michael had four hits led by M. Platz with two singles and an RBI.
