Hearts Celebrated at Welcome Home Ceremony Sunday

The Effingham Hearts' fourth place finish at the State Class 3A Baseball Tournament was celebrated with a ceremony Sunday afternoon at the Hearts Rock Cafe at EHS.

Speakers included Unit 40 Superintendent Andy Johnson, Effingham Sportsbackers President Chris Kreke, Effingham Activities Director David Woltman, Hearts baseball varsity coach Curran McNeely and players' spokesman Evan Waymoth. 

The ceremony was preceded by a school bus ride from the high school to the old Courthouse square and then back to EHS.
