Altamont Posts Big Win Over Edwards County; Regional Scores from Monday

The Altamont Indians scored early and often on their way to a 13-4 regular season win over Edwards County Monday.
The Indians scored four times in the first, a run in the second, and three more in the third to lead 8-2 going into the fifth, when Altamont scored three more times. Edwards County scored twice in the sixth to pull within 11-4, but Altamont scored two more times in the seventh. The Indians amassed 14 hits.
Jared Hammer pitched an inning for Altamont, allowing a run on one hit and two walks while striking out two. Wyatt Phillips pitched two innings and gave up an unearned run on two hits and no walks while fanning three. Ethan Robbins worked two innings, giving up a hit and striking out four. Eli Miller pitched two innings, allowing two runs, one earned, on four hits while fanning three. That's 12 strikeouts against two walks for the Altamont moundsmen.

TEUTOPOLIS 4, VANDALIA 1 (AT THE GREENVILLE 2A REGIONAL)
The Wooden Shoes got back to .500 at 15-15 with the win over the Vandals. The Shoes scored three times in the third inning and once in the fourth to post the win.
Logan Lawson went the distance to earn the win for the Shoes, allowing one unearned run in the sixth. Lawson gave up five hits and two walks while fanning eight.

SOUTH CENTRAL 10, OKAWVILLE 1
The Cougars got off to a quick start, scoring three times in the first and second innings and twice in the third to lead 8-0. Okawville got a run in the fourth, but South Central answered with two more runs in the fifth. South Central totaled 14 hits.
Aidan Dodson pitched two shutout innings, giving up a walk and fanning five. Ethan Watwood went two innings, giving up an unearned run on two hits and two walks with two strikeouts. Anthony Buonaura pitched two innings, walking two and striking out four. Colton smith pitched an inning, walking one and fanning two.

Trailing 1-0, CHBC scored 12 runs in the third inning and four more in the fourth to claim the win.
Jacob Doty got the win for the Bobcats to pull to .500 at 11-11.

DIETERICH 4, CISNE 1 (AT THE SOUTH CENTRAL 1A REGIONAL)
The Movin Maroons scored two runs in the second inning and single runs in the fourth and fifth innings to post the win.
Lucas Westendorf pitched 5-1/3 innings for Dieterich, giving up one run on three hits and five walks with nine strikeouts. Noah Dill pitched the final 1-2/3 innings, allowing a hit and posting a strikeout.
