The St. Anthony Bulldogs have forced a deciding game tonight in the Baseball City Series, defeating Effingham Thursday night, 4-0. The game was heard on 979XFM.
St. Anthony got a solo home run by Eli Levitt and a three-run shot from Connor Roepke to account for the scoring. Meanwhile, Brock Fearday pitched a five-hit shutout for the Bulldogs, walking four but striking out 10.
Kaidyn Nichols went the distance but suffered the loss for the Hearts, giving up seven hits but walking no one and fanning five.
Effingham won Wednesday's game 8-1 so the rubber game is set for 7pm at Paul Smith Field at Community Park. Hear the action on 979XFM.
