Bulldogs, Bombers, Indians, Cardinals Win In Baseball

The two teams went scoreless in the first inning before the Bulldogs tallied two runs in the second. St. Anthony pushed that to 4-0 in the third then added on a single run in the fourth and finished the contest with seven in the fifth.
It was long-ball day for the Bulldogs with two home runs. Eli Levitt hit a single, home run and had two RBI while Connor Roepke had a home run and two RBI. Beau Adams added a double and two RBI, Will Hoene two singles and three RBI and Brock Jansen a single and two RBI.
Janse went four innings for the pitching victory, allowing no runs on three hits, three walks and one strikeout. Adams came on to finish out the fifth inning with one strikeout.
South Central was led by C. Smith with two singles.

Brownstown/St. Elmo blanked Wayne City/Webber Township by a 10-0 count in five innings Thursday.
Wyatt Stine threw a one-hitter with no walks and 12 strikeouts.
Meanwhile, the Bombers were tattooing 13 hits in the contest led by Adam Atwood with two singles, a triple and an RBI, Cade Schaub three singles and two RBI, Wyatt Forbes two singles and an RBI and Josiah Maxey two singles.
Brownstown/St. Elmo is now 11-9 on the season and will take on Mulberry Grove Monday at GCS Ballpark in Sauget.

At Altamont
Altamont's Mason Robinson and Dillan Elam combined to throw a no-hitter as the Indians downed Greenville 12-0 in five innings Thursday.
Robinson went four innings, allowing two walks while striking out eight for the victory. Elam came on in the final inning with two strikeouts.
Altamont had 13 hits in the contest. Robinson had a single, double and an RBI while Logan Cornett had two singles and an RBI. Kienon Eirhart had a double and two RBI, Jared Hammer and Nathan Shepard had a double and an RBI each, Ethan Robbins a double, Nathan Stuemke two singles and an RBI and Dillan Elam and Keegan Schultz a single and an RBI each.

Teutopolis tallied an 11- victory over Mount Zion in junior varsity baseball action Thursday.
The Wooden Shoes took a 5-0 first inning lead then tacked on two in the second, one in the third and three in the fourth.
D. Hoene and A. Kremer had a double each for lead the Shoes. Hoene added an RBI. M. Niebrugge ahd two singles and an RBI.
C. Hoene went the distance allowing one run on five hits, no walks and striking out four.
