The Hearts took the lead late in the opening game and finished with a 3-2 victory. EHS trailed 2-1 going into the bottom of the sixth. Quest Hull homered on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs for the victory.
Josh McDevitt went the entire distance on the mound, striking out 12 while allowing only one walk and five hits.
Hull finished with a single along with his game-winning home run and three RBI.
In the second game, the Hearts scored all the runs they needed in the third inning for a 3-1 victory.
The Trojans held a 1-0 lead from the first until the third.
Hull showed power again, with a second home run along with a single and three RBI. Colton Webb added a double while three other players had a single each.
Kaiden Nichols was the winning pitcher going all seven innings, allowing one run on five hits, three walks while striking out seven.
The Hearts were sure-handed in the contest, not committting an error. Myles Maxedon made the most plays with seven.

At Springfield
St. Anthony split victories during the weekend, suffering a loss Friday and gaining a victory Saturday.
The Bulldogs squared off against Springfield Sacred Heart-Griffin and fell by a 6-4 tally Friday.
Sacred Heart edged out to a 2-1 lead in the second inning, then had a three-run third and finished with one in the fourth.
The Bulldogs made a comeback with two in the fifth and one in the seventh only to fall short.
Brock Fearday led the way in hitting with a single, triple and an RBI while Aidan Lauritzen had two singles and an RBI. Eli Levitt added a double and an RBI and Max Koenig had a single and an RBI.
In Saturday's contest at Shelbyville, the Bulldogs claimed a 7-5 win.
It was a hitting game as the two teams finished with 22 hits, 12 coming from the Bulldogs.
St. Anthony edged out to a 2-1 opening inning lead then tackedo n three in the fourth and two in the fifth. The Rams came back with a three-run sixth but couldn't get over the hump.
Beau Adams led the way for the Bulldogs with two singles and a double. Koenig had two singles and two RBI, Brock Jansen and Levitt with two singles and an RBI and Fearday had a single and an RBI.
Lauritzen was the winner in the mound, going 5.1 innings, allowing five runs on nine hits, two walks and striking out one.

Altamont had a big-hitting and scoring contest Friday and downed Robinson, 15-3.
The Indians finished with 14 hits in the contest as four players had two or more hits. Keegan Schultz led the way with a single, double, home run and three RBI while Mason Robinson, Jared Hammer Nathan Shepard had two singles each. Robinson drove in two runs while Hammer had one RBI.
Wyatt Phillips added a single and three RBI, Logan Cornett a triple and an RBI, Kaidyn Miller a single and two RBI and Nathan Stuemke with a single and an RBI.
Robinson was the winning pitcher, going two innings, allowing no runs on no hits, one walk and striking out three.

Teutopolis tallied a single run in the third and what would prove to be the winning run in the sixth for a 2-1 victory over Marshall Friday.
The Wooden Shoes moved ahead 1-0 in the third before Marshall knotted the score in the fifth.
T-town had six hits led by Caleb Siemer with a single, Connor Siemer with two singles and Evan Waldhoff with a single and an RBI.
Siemer went the distance on the mound, keeping Marshall off guard with 14 strikeouts. He finished with one run on four hits and no walks.
In a Saturday contest, Teutopolis was a 4-2 winner over Pleasant Plains at UIS Field.
The Shoes edged out to a 2-0 lead then tacked on two more in the third to lead 4-0. Pleasant Plains two runs came in the fifth.
T-town had 10 hits. Waldhoff led the way with two singles and a double. Brett Kreke added a single, double and an RBI. Bennet Thompson had a double and an RBI and Logan Roepke a triple.
Garrett Gaddis was the winner on the mound, striking out eight, allowing two runs on three hits with two walks.
T-town is now 9-10 on the season while Pleasant Plains dropped to 16-8.

Neoga and Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg competed in the Tri-County Wooden Bat Tournament during the weekend.
Neoga was a 15-1 winner over Tri-County.. The Indians held a 4-0 first inning lead then had a 10-run third and a single run in the fourth.
The Indians had 10 hits in the contest and were aided by five Tri-County errors.
Quintin Richards had a single, double and two RBI while Keaton Lacy had two singles and two RBI. Brady Reynolds had a double and two RBI and Matt Propst a single and three RBI,.
Bryar Hennesay went five innings, allowing one run on two hits, no walks and striking out eight.
Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg then downed Neoga by a 13-1 tally.
The Hatchets held a 2-1 first inning lead then scored two in the second and fourth, one in the third and three in the sixth and seventh innings.
WSS finished with 15 hits in the contest led by Austin Wittenberg with a single, three doulbles and an RBI. Tyler Wetherall had two singles, a double and three RBI, Carter Chaney three singles and an RBI, Ben Bridges two singles and an RBI and Jackson Gurgel a single and three RBI.
Neoga was led by Malachi Staszak with two singles and an RBI.
Kendall Morris was the winning pitcher with 11 strikeouts and giving up two hits.

South Central and North Clay/Clay City competed in the Centralia Tournament Saturday.
Trenton Wesclin edged South Central, 6-5. The Cougars outhit Wesclin by a 9-6 count.
Maddox Robb had two singles and an RBI while Aidan Dodson added double and an RBI, Chase Thompson a single and two RBI and Anthony Buonaura a single and an RBI.
South Central fell to Centralia, 11-0 in six innings.
The Cougars had six hits in the contest. Zane Montes led the way with two singles and a double and Dodson had a single and double.
North Clay/Clay City tallied two runs in the top of the seventh to pull out a 2-1 victory over South Central.
The Cardinals had three hits in the contest led by Carder Walden with two singles and an RBI and Cody Zimdars with a single.
South Central had five hits led by Smith with two singles and an RBI and Buonaura with a double.
North Clay's Ayden Jones was the winning pitcher, allowing no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings and stirking out two.
North Clay/Clay City lost to Trenton Wesclin, 6-1.

Central had two-run innings in the fourth, fifth and sixth. Newton made a comeback bid with five runs in the top of the seventh only to see Central claim the victory.

St. Anthony had two hits, singles by Noah Flaig and Henry Brent.

Effingham and Charleston split an Apollo Conference junior varsity doubleheader Saturday.
Effingham blanked the Trojans 5-0 as three pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Ethan Jones went five innings, allowing four hits, one walk and striking out three. Wyatt Hayes went an inning, allowng one hit and striking out one. Brody Boehm went one inning, allowing one hit and inducing a fly out to finish the game.
Boehm had three singles and an RBI while Tucker had two singles and Max Flack two RBI.
Charleston then captured the second contest, 7-1.
The Trojans took a 2-0 lead in the fourth then had a five-run sixth. EHS scored its lone run in the sixth.
The Hearts had four hits led by Tucker with a double.
