Cardinals, Hatchets, Indians, Maroons, Eagles Claim Wins

The Cougars held a 1-0 lead in the first, then tacked on single runs in the second, third and fifth to lead 4-0. North Clay/Clty City came back with a run in the sixth but South Central retaliated with a run in the top of the seventh to lead 5-1.
The Cardinals then went on a four-run tear to knot the score at 5-5, sending the game into the eighth. North Clay/Clay City then completed the comeback with a run to win the contest.
Alex Boose had a double and drove in a run for the Cardinals while Cody Zimdars had a single and two RBI. Logan Fleener added two singles. Carder Walden had two singles and Jacob Hoyt an RBI. Daniel Warren had a double.
Ian Jones picked up the win, coming in the sixth, going three runs, allowing one run on two hits, three walks and striking out one.
South Central had seven hits led by Andrew Magnus with a single, double and an RBI, Anthony Buonaura two singles and an RBI and Brody Markley with a single and an RBI.
North Clay/Clay City improved to 13-4 on the season.

At Toledo
Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg took the first inning lead and went on to down Cumberland, 8-2 Tuesday.
The Hatchets had eight hits in the contest, led by Kendall Morris with two singles and a triple, Tyler Wetherell with two singles and an RBI, Carter Chaney and Jackson Gurgel with a double and two RBI each.
Austin Wittenberg went six innings on the mound, allowing two runs on six hits, three walks and five strikeouts for the win. Gurgel came on to finish out the final inning, allowing one hit and striking out one. The Hatchets are now 10-2 on the season.
Cumberland was led by Gavin Hendrix with a single, home run and an RBI, Maddox McElravy had a triple and Hunter McElravy two singles and an RBI.

At Altamont
Altamont banged out 17 hits and outscored Ramsey by a 17-2 count in four innings Tuesday.
The Indians edged out to a 2-0 first inning lead then had an eight-run second, a three-run third and a four-run fourth.
Kaidyn Miller had two singles, a Triple and three RBI while Nathan Stuemke had a single and triple. Nathan Shepard had three singles and drove in a run and Logan Cornett a single, double and an RBI. Kienon Eirhart added two singles and two RBI and Kaden Davis a single and two RBI. Mason Robinson, Keegan Schultz, Clayton Arnold and Wyatt Phillips added a single and an RBI each.
Carter Siebert was the winning pitcher, going all four innings, allowing two runs on three hits, no walks and striking out seven.

Dieterich held off Brownstown/St. Elmo to take a 7-6 victory Tuesday.
BSE held a 1-0 lead in the first and led 2-0 in the top of the second but Dieterich came back to tie the score in the bottom of the frame. The Movin' Maroons tallied five in the fourth to lead 7-2.
BSE then brought home two runs in the fifth and finished out with two in the seventh only to fall short.
Garrett Niebrugge and Jaxon Funneman had a double each for the winners.
The Bombers were led by Adam Atwood with a single and triple, Jarrett Pasley with two singles and an RBI, Lane Stine with two singles and Wyatt Stine with two RBI. BSE dropped to 6-6 on the season.

This contest went 12 innings before Newton pulled out a 7-6 win over Mattoon Tuesday.
The Green Wave took a 1-0 lead in the second and held a 4-2 lead after four. Newton came back with a four-run fifth to move ahead 6-4 but Mattoon knotted the score at 6-6 in the sixth. The two teams went through five scoreless innings before Newton ended the contest.
The Eagles had 13 hits led by Carder Reich with two singles and a double, Isaac Flowers with two doubles and two RBI, Gage Reynolds with a home run and three RBI, Gus Bierman and David Ferguson with two singles each and David Baltzell with a double.
Newton went through five pitchers. Bierman ended up with the win, going the final inning, allowing one hit and one walk.
