St. Anthony Beats T-town; EHS Downs Neoga In Baseball

The Wooden Shoes edged out to a 2-0 first inning lead. Logan Roepke drew a walk then proceeded to steal second and third. Evan Waldhoff drew a walk and Joey Niebrugge was walked to load the bases. Mitch Jansen then singled home a run and Caleb Bloemer brought home the other run on a single.
St. Anthony came back to knot the score in the the second. Aiden Lauritzen drew a walk. With one out, Brock Jansen singled home Lauritzen. Jansen moved ahead to second on a wild pitch and scored on a wild pitch.
That's where the scoring stood until the fourth when T-town moved ahead 3-2. Brent Kreke led off with a double and came home on a single by Roepke.
St. Anthony tied in the fifth. Will Fearday led off with a single and took second on an error. Fearday came home on a sacrifice fly by Eli Levitt.
Then everything fell apart for the Wooden Shoes as St. Anthony went on a 12-run sixth. In that run, W, Fearday had a double and an RBI. Will Hoene had a double and a three-run homer. Lauritzen had a single, Jansen had a single and two RBI, Max Koenig two singles and an RBI, Conner Roepke a single and a three-run homer and Levitt a single and two RBI.
The Bulldogs improved to 10-2 on the season.

At Effingham
The score was tied at 2-2 after three innings but Effingham got going in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings for a 12-2 win over Neoga Tuesday.
The Hearts edged out to a 1-0 lead in the second before Neoga moved ahead 2-1 in the top of the third. EHS then knotted the score at 2-2.
EHS tallied three runs to lead 5-2 in the fourth and never looked back, ending the contest in the sixth via the 10-run rule.
Kaden Koeberlein was credited with the win on the mound for the Hearts. The hurler allowed four hits and two runs over six imnings, striking out four and not giving up a walk.
EHS had 13 hits in the game led by Evan Waymoth with three singles and an RBI, Kaiden Nichols with a single, triple and an RBI, John Harper with a single, double and two RBI and Myles Maxedon with a single, double and an RBI. Camden Raddatz and Quest Hull had a single and drove in a run each.
Neoga had four hits, all singles by Quintin Richards, Trey Sheehan, Bryar Hennesay and Micah Staszek.
Effingham stole eight bases during the game and Camden Raddatz led the way with three. EHS didn't commit a single error in the field. Colton Webb had seven chances,
