A Special Game for Blake Niemerg

Monday was a special day for Blake Niemerg and for members of the Dieterich and Windsor/Stew-Stras baseball teams.

Blake got to hit at the conclusion of the game between the Movin Maroons and the Hatchets. He got a pitch he liked and socked it to right field, then flew down to first base. Blake then made the turn and headed into second.

The ball got away, though, and Blake was headed to third, then got the signal to head for home.

Blake finished his tour around the bases in style, sliding head-first into home plate.

After the game, members of the Hatchets' coaching staff and team posed for pictures with Blake, making for a memorable day.
