The Bulldogs moved ahead 3-1 in the opening inning, tallied four in the second, then had a big fourth inning with eight and ended the contest with a run in the fifth.
Max Koenig and Eli Levitt led the way offensively for the Bulldogs. Koenig had two singles, a double and drove in three runs while Levitt had two singles, a double and an RBI. Aiden Lauritzen and Will Fearday had a single and drove in two runs each.
Brock Fearday was the winner on the mound, going three innings, allowing one run on two hits and striking out five.

At Effingham
Effingham High School watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in an 11-7 loss to Newton Monday.
The Eagles scored on a fielder's choice by Gage Reynolds in the first inning. Owen Mahaffey hit a homer in the second and the Eagles moved ahead 4-2.
The Hearts came back with a run in the third, and two in the fourth but Newton had a big fourth inning and led 11-6 going into the seventh. The Hearts tacked on a final run in the seventh.
Effingham was led by Braxton Lewis with a double and two RBI, Spencer Fox with three singles and Quest Hull with a single and an RBI.
Newton was led by Mahaffey with two singles, a home run and three RBI, Isaac Flowers with a single, triple and four RBI, Reynolds with a single, double and two RBI and Payton Harris with a double and two RBI.
Dylan Gier started the game on the mound for the Eagles, going three innings, allowing five runs on two hits, four walks and three strikeouts. Mahaffey came on and went three innings allowing one run on five hits and striking out four for the win on the mound.
The Hearts committed six errors in the contest.

Aidan Dodson and Ethan Watwood combined to throw a no-hitter as South Central finished this contest with a 17-1 win over Fairfield in four innings Monday.
Dodson went three innings, allowing no runs on no hits, one walk while striking out five. Watwood came on for the final inning allowing one run on no hits, two walks and one strikeout.
Dodson wielded the big bat offensively with a single, two home runs and four RBI. Watwood and Colton Smith had two singles and an RBI each. Brody Markley had a single and three RBI while Maddox Robb had a single and two RBI.
Chase Thompson, Anthony Buonaura and Jon Bursott each had a single and drove in a run.

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City ended this contest over Pana in the fifth inning via the 10-run rule, 16-6.
The Bobcats edged out to a 3-1 opening inning lead then had six-run innings in the second and third and finished with one in the fourth.
CHBC had 10 hits in the game led by Carson Evans with a single and double, Gage Lorton two doubles and three RBI, AJ Radloff with two singles and three RBI, Jacob Doty a double and three RBI and Conner Nowitzke with a double and an RBI.
Clayton Wojcik picked up the pitching win on a three-hitter.

Pasley threw a one-hitter with one walk while striking out eight.
Meanwhile, BSE had eight hits in the contest and was aided by five Ramsey errors.
Kyle Behl had two singles and drove in two runs while Adam Atwood had two singles and one RBI. Cade Schaub added a double. Josiah Maxey had a single and an RBI.
BSE is now 1-1 on the season.
