North Clay's Zimmerman Named Class 1A Player of Year, Frech Named Coach of Year

North Clay graduate (Class of 2022) Donnie Zimmerman has been selected as the 2022 Illinois High School Baseball Coaches Association (IHSBCA) Class 1A Player of the Year.

Zimmerman was previously named to the IHSBCA Class 1A All-State Team and was a pitcher/outfielder on the 2022 IHSA Class 1A State Baseball Championship team. 

North Clay baseball coach John Frech has been selected as the 2022 Illinois High School Baseball Coaches Association Class 1A Coach of the Year.  Coach Frech has been the head coach at North Clay since 2010 and won the 2022 IHSA Class 1A State Baseball Championship. Both Frech and Zimmerman will be honored at the IHSBCA State Convention in Lombard, Saturday January 21.
