PHILADELPHIA -- Five home runs later, Philadelphia blanked Houston, 7-0 in the third game of the World Series Tuesday.

The home run barrage started in the first inning when Bryce Harper knocked out a two-run homer. Then in the second, Alec Bohm hit a solo shot that became the 1,000th home run in World Series history.

Also in the second inning, Brandon Marsh knocked out a solo homer with two out.

The fifth inning was also a two-run inning as Kyle Schwarber knocked out a two-run homer and Rhys Hoskins had a solo blow.

All five home runs came against Houston's Lance McCullers, Jr.

Philadelphia took a 2-1 lead in the series and the next two games, Wednesday and Thursday, are in Philadelphia. Friday is a no-game day before heading back to Houston for game six and seven, if the Phillies haven't already clinched the World Series championship.
