DIETERICH -- Dieterich High School took a 2-0 first inning lead and went on to blank Brownstown/St. Elmo, 10-0 in six innings Tuesday.

The Movin' Maroons had eight hits, all singles. Noah Dill led the way with two singles while Pete Britton, Garrett Niebrugge, Andrew Hall, Sam Hardiek, Jaxon Funneman and Lucas Westendorf had a single each.

Dill was the winner on the mound, going six innings, allowing no runs on four hits, no walks while striking out eight.

BSE  had four hits, all singles by Adam Atwood, Jarrett Pasley, Wyatt Forbes and Kyle Behl. BSE dropped to 1-7 in the National Trail Conference and 10-10 overall.

At Louisville

Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg broke a 2-2 opening inning tie with an eight-run third and went on to down North Clay (Louisville) 13-6 in Tuesday action.

The Hatchets banged out 13 hits in the contest led by Tyler Wetherell with a single, double, home run and seven RBI. Rhett Rincker added a double, triple anad an RBI while Kendall  Morris had a single, double and two RBI, Jordan Wittenberg a double and two RBI and Jackson Gurgel two singles. Carter Chaney added a single and an RBI.

J. Wittenberg was the winning pitcher, going four innings, allowing three runs on five hits, no walks and striking out five.

WIndsor/Stew-Stras finished the National Trail Conference season with a 6-2 mark and stand at 14-2 overall.

North Clay finished with 10 hits led by Logan Fleener with a single, double and an RBI, Ian Jones and Daniel Warren with two singles each. Jones had an RBI. The Cardinals are 3-5 in the NTC, 11-10-1 overall.

 At Cowden

Aden McManaway threw a two-hitter as Altamont blanked  Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City 6-0 Tuesday.

McManaway went all seven innings, giving up only one walk while striking out 10.

Altamont held a 2-0 first inning lead and had another two-run inning in the sixth sandwiched around single runs in the second and fourth.

Mason Robinson had a single, double and an RBI while Nathan Stuemke added a single and drove in two runs. Wyatt Phillips and Logan Cornett had an RBI each.

CHBC's two hits were singles by Conner Nowitzke and Clayton Wojcik.

At Cowden

At Kinmundy

This game went into the eighth inning before South Central pulled out a 1-0 victory over Neoga Tuesday.

Chase Thompson had a single and double and drove in the lone run of the game. Callaway Smith added a single.

Anthony Buonaura racked up the pitching win with an outstanding performance. Buonaura went seven innings, allowing two hits, two walks while owning the mound by striking out 17.

Neoga hung tough, however, with three hits, two singles by Micah Staszak, who also went six innings on the mound, allowing no runs on two hits, two walks while striking out seven.
