Kent Niebrugge Honored For 20 Years Coaching Baseball

TEUTOPOLIS -- State Representative Adam Niemerg (R-Dieterich) on Monday presented longtime Teutopolis bsaeball Coach Kent Niebrugge with a special certificate from the Ilinois House of Representatives honoring his two decades of commitment and dedication.

Niebrugge coached the boys junior high Wooden Shoes for 20 years from 2001-2021.

Coach Niebrugge's overall record was 351 wins and 82 losses.

"We are very proud of our hometown guy, Coach Kent Niebrugge, who has coached our boys baseball team to 12 State Tournament appearances with five State titles and 4 State runners-up," commented Rep. Niemerg. "Kent is a great role model and leader for our boys both on the field and off."
