TEUTOPOLIS -- Teutopolis High School blanked South Central, 6-0 in baseball action Monday.

Neither team scored in the first two innings. The Wooden Shoes then broke loose with a four-run third and tacked on two more in the fifth.

Mitch Koester came up strong at-bat with three of the Shoes' six hits. Koester had two singles and a double. Logan Roepke added a double while Devin Kreke had a single and drove in two runs.

Caleb Siemer went the distance on the mound, allowing no runs on four hits, one walk and striking out four.

All four of South Central's hits were singles by Anthony Buonaura, Ethan Watwood, Andrew Magnus and Colton Smith.

North Clay/Clay City blanked Odin, 13-0 in five innings Monday.

Carder Walden picked up the pitching win.

North Clay/Clay City improved to 6-7-1 on the season.
