EHS Players Named to All-Apollo Baseball Teams

Four Effingham High School baseball players earned All-Apollo Conference honors.

Mahomet-Seymour won the conference with an 11-1 record followed by Charleston 7-4, Lincoln 7-4, Effingham 5-6, Mattoon 5-7, Mount Zion 4-8 and Taylorville 1-10.

Effingham's Josh  McDevitt, a junior, earned a spot on the All-Conference First Team Pitchers category. Also named were Mahomet-Seymour's Blake Wolters, a junior, and Zach Courson, a senior.

Named to the First Team were Effingham's Jack Harper, a junior; Taylorville's Carter Thomas, a junior; Mahomet-Seymour's Blake Wolters, Carter Johnson, Mateo Casillias and Carter Selk, all juniors and senior Brayden Smith; Charleston's William Applegate, a junior and Lincoln's Alex hoffert ,a senior.

Second Team members were Effingham's Brayden Pals and Joe Matteson, both seniors; Lincoln's Wyatt Mammen, a sophomroe and Trent Koehler, a senior; Taylorville's Kamren Heimsness, a senior; Mattoon;s Jarret Muchow, a sopomore; Lincoln's Sean Raffa, a senior and Moun tzion's Sammy Driscoll, a freshman.
