Highland Takes 6-1 victory over EHS In Baseball

Effingham High School fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 6-1 loss to Highland in baseball action  Tuesday.

Highland's Luke Darling knocked out a solo shot in the first inning for a 2-0 lead in the top of the frame .The Hearts came back with a run in the bottom of the first. But Highland added on two more runs in the third and two more in the fourth.

Kaiden Nichols, Gauge Massey, Max Hardiek and Evan Waymoth had the four hits for the Hearts, all singles.

Chase Knebel was the winning pitcher for the Bulldogs giong five innings allowing one run on three hits, one walk while striking out seven.
