New York Mets manager Buck Showalter was suspended for one game Monday after Major League Baseball determined Mets reliever Yoan Lopez intentionally threw at the Philadelphia Phillies’ Kyle Schwarber the night before.

Lopez, who was sent to Triple-A after Sunday’s game, was given a three-game ban that begins whenever he’s back in the majors.
