Junior Varsity Baseball -- April 26, 28

In a Tuesday contest, T-town bounced Newton by a 10-4 score. The Wooden Shoes held a 9-0 lead through four innings before Newton scored two runs in the fifth and finished with two in the sixth. T-town scored another run in the fifth.

Brett Kreke had a single, double and two RBI for the Shoes while Jake Bushur had a double and two RBI and Evan Waldhoff a double.

Connor Hoelscher was the winning pitcher going four innings, allowing two runs on four hits, two walks and four strikeouts.

In the Thursday contest, the Shoes edged Marshall 9-8.

Marshall held an 8-6 lead in the top of the sixth but T-town tallied two to tie in the bottom of the inning and then won it with one in the seventh.

The Shoes had nine hits in the contest led by Joey Niebrugge with two doubles and three RBI, Evan Waldhoff two doubles and two RBI and Brett Kreke a double and an RBI. Jackson Hille added two singles.
