A big fourth inning keyed a 6-3 win by the Altamont Indians over the St. Anthony Bulldogs in high school baseball Friday afternoon. The game at Altamont was heard on KJ Country 102.3 and www.kjcountry.com

The game was scoreless until the fourth. Altamont got back-to-back singles from Jared Hammer and Mason Robinson before a one-out single by Wyatt Phillips drove in Hammer. Dillon Elam reached on a fielder's choice, scoring a run, and Kaidyn Miller drove in pinch-runner Eli Miller with a single, then an error brought home a run to make it 4-0.

St. Anthony fought back with a run in the fifth on back-to-back walks and a sacrifice fly by Will Hoene to make it 4-1.

Altamont grabbed back the offensive in the bottom of the fifth with a single by Hammer and an error allowing Robinson to reach. Kienon Eirhart singled home pinch-runner Eli Miller and an error brought home Robinson and the Indians were up 6-1.

St. Anthony tried to battle back in the seventh against Altamont closer Mason Winn. A single by Eli Levitt and a hit batsman of Beau Adams gave the Bulldogs two on with no one out and a single by Colton Fearday loaded the bases. Hoene got his second sacrifice fly to drive home Levitt and a fielder's choice by Angelo Mendella brought home Adams, but the rally died there and Altamont had the victory.
